Demand to Withdraw Transfer Orders of Loco Pilots and Assistant Loco Pilots in Ratlam Division

Ujjain, October 31, 2025:
The All India Loco Running Staff Association (ALRSA), Ujjain Branch, has strongly opposed the recent order issued by the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Ratlam, transferring 40 Loco Pilots and Assistant Loco Pilots to the Palanpur Lobby. The association termed the order as “authoritarian” and demanded its immediate withdrawal, citing a severe shortage of running staff within the Ratlam Division itself.

According to ALRSA representatives, the Ratlam Division is already facing a serious manpower crisis, with Loco Pilots and Assistant Loco Pilots struggling to receive timely leave, adequate rest, and pending promotions. The members argued that transferring existing staff to another lobby would worsen the operational challenges and put additional pressure on the remaining personnel.

On October 29, ALRSA Ujjain Branch submitted a memorandum to the Divisional Railway Manager, urging that the “unjust and impractical order” be revoked without delay in the interest of employees’ welfare and railway efficiency.

Those present during the submission included ALRSA Divisional President Mubarik Hussain, Branch President Rupnarayan Yadav, Working President Sunil Meena, Labour Union Branch Secretary Narendra Sehgal, along with Mahendra Saini, Mukesh Verma, Gulsher Qureshi, Sawan Meena, Jagdish Malviya, Sanjeev Pal, Ramavatar Mandiwal, Dharmendra Meena, Mastram Meena, Manish Bunkar, Vishram Meena, Jitendra Sisodiya, Mukesh Chowkikar, Rahul Dwivedi, Yogesh Chawla, Jitendra Tejra, Vipin Mishra, Andarsingh Meena, Nandkishore Meena, Siddiq Nagori, Samresh Kharate, and a large number of Loco Pilots and Assistant Loco Pilots.

The association reiterated that it will continue to raise this issue at higher administrative levels if the transfer orders are not withdrawn promptly.
