As part of the ongoing “Tobacco-Free Youth Campaign 3.0”, an awareness program was organized at Government Jijabai Hostel, Indore, to educate students about oral hygiene and the harmful effects of tobacco consumption.

Under this campaign, Dr. Tripti Singh Bhati, Dental Surgeon at District Hospital, Indore, and Dr. Neeti Pandit, DIC Dental Surgeon, interacted with students and highlighted the importance of maintaining oral health. They also elaborated on the serious health risks associated with the use of tobacco products.

Dr. Paras Rawat, Nodal Officer of the National Tobacco Control Programme (NTCP), addressed the gathering and explained how tobacco consumption can lead to oral cancer, gum diseases, dental erosion, and permanent teeth stains. He encouraged students to adopt a healthy and tobacco-free lifestyle.

During the session, students took a pledge to lead a tobacco-free life and to spread awareness among their peers about the dangers of tobacco use.

The initiative aims to promote anti-tobacco awareness among the youth and to inspire them to contribute toward building a healthy, tobacco-free India.
