

Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh: The religious ceremonies marking Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha Dwadashi commenced at the Ram Temple complex in Ayodhya on Wednesday. The occasion marks the completion of the second year since the consecration of Lord Ram’s idol. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath participated in the rituals, offering prayers and performing the Abhishek and Prakatotsav Aarti of Ram Lalla.
According to temple trustee Anil Mishra, the ceremonies began with Ganpati Puja and Mandal Puja. Rajnath Singh also performed the flag hoisting at the Annapurna Temple, one of the seven temples within the complex. Throughout the rituals, devotees chanted “Jai Shri Ram”, creating a spiritually charged atmosphere.
Approximately 1,200 saints from Ayodhya were invited to participate in the grand celebrations. Before the ceremony, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath wrote on social media, “Today, in Shri Ayodhya, witnessing the second anniversary of the installation of Lord Ram Lalla’s idol is a sacred moment that reflects the culmination of centuries of struggle and devotion. This is the result of three generations of dedication, the blessings of revered saints, and the faith of 1.4 billion countrymen.”
It is noteworthy that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had performed the original Pran Pratishtha of the Ram Lalla idol on 22 January 2024. On this auspicious occasion, the entire city of Ayodhya was adorned in a vibrant devotional atmosphere, celebrating the spiritual and cultural significance of Lord Ram’s presence.
