Chittorgarh, Rajasthan: Sanwaliya Seth Temple in Chittorgarh has once again made headlines with record-breaking donations. In the counting conducted in December, over ₹16.83 crore was collected in just two days. The final total is expected to be even higher, as the counting of coins, gold and silver offerings, online donations, and money orders is still underway, reflecting the immense faith of devotees.
Two-Day Counting Highlights
On Thursday, the first round of counting revealed ₹12.10 crore in cash, already a record for a single day. The following day, Friday, an additional ₹4.73 crore was counted. The temple administration expects the counting process to continue for five to six rounds before the final total for December is announced.
Counting Process and Security
The counting started after the Rajbhog Aarti and continued throughout the day until evening, conducted under the supervision of temple officials and staff. Strict security arrangements were in place during the process, which also continued in the satsang hall on the day of Amavasya.
Gold and Silver Offerings Yet to Be Weighed
Currently, only cash donations are being counted, including both large and small notes and coins. Online donations and money orders will be included in the final tally. The weight of gold and silver jewelry offered by devotees is yet to be measured, which is expected to further increase the total amount of offerings.
Devotees’ Faith Drives Record Donations
The temple administration explained that devotees believe that donations made at Sanwaliya Seth’s shrine return double, a faith that continues to draw crores in offerings every month. This Mewar Krishna Dham has now become one of India’s most prominent temples where the treasure trove opens to reveal massive amounts in donations almost immediately.
