Pak Army Chief Claims Divine Intervention During India-Pak Conflict

Islamabad: Pakistan’s Army Chief and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Asim Munir, has claimed that divine intervention played a crucial role in protecting Pakistan during the military clashes with India in May. Speaking at the National Ulema Conference, Munir stated that he felt the help of Allah during the confrontation with India. The speech, delivered on December 10, 2025, was recently broadcast on Pakistani television.

Divine Aid Amid Operation Sindoor
Addressing the conference, Munir referred to a verse from the Quran: “If Allah helps you, none can defeat you”. He asserted that Pakistan experienced Allah’s support during the conflict, a statement that has quickly circulated on social media.

The clashes, which erupted in response to the April Pahalgam terror attack, led India to launch Operation Sindoor on the morning of May 7. Indian Air Force strikes targeted terrorist launch pads inside Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, including strongholds in Bahawalpur and Muridke, which are known bases for Pakistan-based terrorist groups.

Heavy Losses for Pakistan During the Operation
In retaliation, Pakistan fired missiles and deployed drones against Indian territories, but India’s pre-alert air defense systems successfully countered these attacks. Over the four days of conflict, Indian forces inflicted significant damage on 11 Pakistani airbases and neutralized multiple air defense units. Following sustained Indian strikes, Pakistan’s DGMO sent a message for a ceasefire on December 10, leading both sides to halt hostilities.

Munir’s remarks underscore the intensity of the confrontation and Pakistan’s perception of divine support during the critical days of Operation Sindoor.
